Being neighbored by such famous and picturesque places as Thun, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald this embraced by the mountains lake usually receives less tourists than it deserves. Even despite the funicular, the fact that you need to hike up here (at least a bit) keeps masses away (at least a bit) from this place. And although the development of internet did uncover this place for many, it is still relatively uncrowded. And for me this place looked like a very close replica of the entrance to Moria. So as long as we don’t get eaten by the Watcher in the Water I don’t mind a little walk.
