Särna, Sweden:
A small town in Älvdalen Municipality, some hours to the North from Stockholm, welcomed us with cute camping houses each on their own small hill, 11-15 degrees outside, many rains, spectacular skies and charming reflections.
Fulufjällets National park, Sweden:
West of Särna, a big park spans across the border (385 m2 Sweden, 82 m2 Norway) with sandstone plateau crouching beyond the horizon, freshwater springs roaring down and carving deep ravines as they go, and vast marshlands full of cloudberries. Njupäsker waterfall is the jewel of the park, being the tallest one in Sweden (70 m freefall). Another local celebrity is the Old Tjikko, the oldest spruce in the world (9550+ years old) and one of the first inhabitants, emerging just after the retreat of the glacier which marked the end of Ice Age.
